Couldn’t agree more. I’m so sick and tired of certain ‘thought leaders’ denigrating design. The recent school of thought that anyone can be a great design is not only insulting but inaccurate. Sports are also a great analogy here. It’s not a 1:1 to comparison but it’s quite good none the less. I can be taught to play golf well but I can’t flex my body in a way that’ll produce a 400 yard drive. The same way some people can’t create a work of art or an innovative product no matter how hard they try.
